The Lymphocyte Development and Leukemogenesis lab started in 09/2015 at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência. We merged with another institute on the 01/10/2024, and are currently part of the Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine (GIMM). We do Fundamental Research with the Aim of understanding how hematopoietic progenitor cells generate T lymphocytes to protect the organism, and how can they become malignant and cause leukemia.
